Unwittingly Proving The Bible to be True

As some of you may have noticed, we are currently living in a day when hostility towards Bible believing Christians (and even God Himself) is increasing like never before. I see this hostility through the comments that are made on much of the Christian videos I watch on You Tube, and I have also seen it on the message boards that I have been to over the years (both Christian and secular message boards).

This obvious hostility has been seen through those who call themselves "The New Atheists", it has been seen through the continual anti Christian propaganda that comes out of Hollywood, some video games.... and even through some of the music that I used to listen to before I was a Christian myself.

This worldwide hostility towards true Christians is not just limited to atheists - I actually see it the most in those who are religious - and even some who claim to be "spiritual but not religious" - yet their lives show that religion is really all that they have. I say this because the obvious hostility that they show towards bliblical Christians could not possibly come from a relationship with God, and they have thus proven that religion is really all that they have, even though they profess to be spiritual. In addition to the above info that I have shared about the growing hostility towards biblical Christians, I will also leave many links at the bottom of this article, exposing world wide hostility and persecution of Christians. I also want to make it known that I have noticed an increase in Christian websites being hacked lately, and especially Christian sites that defend the faith. Isn't all of this hostility a bit odd considering that we live in a world which, for the most part, professes to be "tolerant"? Actually, it should not seem odd for those who know the Bible, because it is exactly what Jesus said would take place! That is what I will explain next.

The World's Hatred is Mentioned in The Bible

In John 15:18-21, Jesus said “if the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master’. If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me”.

And likewise, the Apostle John wrote to Christians saying, "Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you" (1 John 3:13).

So, it should be evident by now that those who are the most hostile towards Christians are often the ones who unwittingly prove the Bible to be true! And even man's wrath against God Himself will ultimately end in God being glorified. Those who have worked so hard to silence and marginalize true Christians in the name of "tolerance" will have done it all in vain (See Psalm 2:1-4).

So why is it that true Christians and Jesus Himself have been hated so much. The answer to that is revealed through Jesus' words to his brothers in the following verse....

"The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil" (John 7:7).

That is the real issue! Although much of the hostility towards Christianity takes place under the guise of "tolerance", the real issue is that they hate Christianity because it shows the works of the world for what they truly are, as that verse reveals. And that goes against man's pride and everything that he naturally supposes himself to be. I was the same way at one time, so I am not claiming to be any better than anyone else - I am just simply pointing out what the Scriptures reveal. As I explained in my poem titled Only Through Jesus, I am only a sinner saved by grace.... so I do not claim to be better than anyone since I was born with the same sinful nature as everyone else (See Romans 3:23).

When Jesus was talking to the Jews during His days on earth He also said, "Because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me". (John 8:45)

In other words, they may believe any lie, no matter how absurd...but the one thing that they will not believe is the truth. And it is actually because the truth is told that they do not believe the one who is telling it! Some people have agreed with me that this sounds a lot like many people today. It seems like a lot of people will believe anything, as long as it's not true.

More Proof of The Bible's Validity

Many people reject the Bible because it has been misrepresented by teachers who only want their money, or who only want glory for themselves, or just because of the hypocrisy throughout the professing church in general. However, far from disproving the Bible, the wrongs which are taking place within the professing church today are actually a fulfillment of Scripture. I have seen much of these wrongs in the professing church all my life, even before I was a Christian....but I can't use that as an excuse to reject the Bible, because it really only confirms the Bible to be true. You can read the following verses to see what I am talking about....

2 Peter 2:1-3 says, "there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed".

Through this passage, we not only find that false teachers are a fulfillment of Bible prophecy, but we also find that those who blaspheme the way of truth because of false teachers are unwittingly fulfilling Bible prophecy as well! Over and over, I find that many people today are unwittingly fulfilling the Scriptures because of their ignorance of the Scriptures, and that should be evident from what I have written here so far. This happened when Jesus was condemned to be crucified (See Acts 13:27), and it is clearly happening again today.

More on Foretold Apostasy

Through 2 Peter 2:1-3, we also find that many people would follow the destructive ways of false teachers. So this is an obvious indication that there would not be just a few people being lead astray, but a very large amount of people would be lead astray. And that fits with the words of Matthew 7:13-14 and Luke 13:23-24, which make it clear that few people will be saved.

In fact, I think it is safe to say that the majority of professing Christians today are following false teachers, and this is one of the reasons that I was inspired to write my poem titled Apostasy. There is a gross apostasy today which I believe to be worse than even many true Christians realize. Even some who defend the faith have bought into it to some extent. But I am not going to use that as an excuse to reject the Bible because, as I have clearly shown here, it only proves the Bible to be true.

In 2 Timothy 4:3-4, the apostle Paul warned that a time would come when those who profess to be Christians would not endure sound doctrine, but they would embrace doctrine which is according to their own desires. We have certainly reached such a time. And that passage should make it clear that it is the false doctrine which is to blame for much of the wrongs taking place in the professing church - not the Bible!

The heart simply cannot be right if the doctrine is corrupt. Contrary to those who believe that doctrine is secondary in the Christian life, 2 Timothy 3:16 clearly tells us that the entire Bible was actually given for doctrine and correction. And the next verse tells us why: "That the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:17). So, if the doctrine is corrupt, then it will only keep us from being "thoroughly equipped for every good work".

That is why I am explaining these things. It is not because I get my jollies from telling people that their doctrine is wrong. Why would I since I am usually hated and/or misunderstood for it?. But I do so simply because the love of Christ compels me to, in spite of what people will most likely think of me. And I do so because of the Scriptural command to "earnestly contend for the faith" (Jude 1:3).

Since the heart can not be right without the proper doctrine, this is a good indication of why so many people are now fulfilling some of the Scriptures that I have mentioned in this article without even realizing it. It is because they will not endure sound doctrine, exactly as 2 Timothy 4:3-4 says.

The One World Religion

In Matthew 24:24, Jesus Himself made it clear that religious deception would be a major sign of the end times. That is what this is all about - religion. Much of the world leaders and religious leaders in our day are heading the world towards fulfillment of the one world system foretold in Revelation 13, and we are headed towards a one world religion which opposes biblical Christianity. Since the signs of the times are exploding all around us today like never before, I definitely plan to update this page with more links for as long as I am allowed to do so. The freedom to do so may soon be taken away. While this world is indeed very tolerant of anything that does not challenge them, they are clearly intolerant with those who disagree with them - Namely, Bible believing Christians. We have clearly reached a time when love is considered to be hate, often by people who truly are hateful. Those who truly hate are marginalizing those who love them, all in the name of "tolerance". And 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 indicates that the delusion in this world will one day be even stronger yet. The best way to keep from being swept up in all of the deception today is to abide in God's word. Contrary to those who claim that we can not really know the truth, Jesus Himself said "If You abide in My word, you are my disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:31-32).

Many people will mock end times Bible prophecy without even realizing that they are actually fulfilling the very prophecy that they mock! So I will leave you with this final verse which should give you a good idea of what I mean by that....

“Scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His [the Lord's] coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” (2 Peter 3:3-4)
